Security & Support

How Pages Manager protects your WHMCS installation, what files and database tables it owns, and where to get official support.

ionCube encoded — like every HardSoftCode addon, Pages Manager ships as ionCube-encoded PHP. It requires a valid license key entered in the module settings (Configure).

Security summary

  • ionCube encoding — the PHP source is encoded, so plain-text copies of the module cannot be created or re-licensed without a valid license key.
  • Licence key — entered once under Configure; the key is automatically re-verified every 15 days.
  • Escaped output — all user-provided page content, titles, keywords and sidebar text are escaped before rendering, so stored input is displayed as plain text and never executed as markup.
  • Database access — pages are stored in the module’s own tables (below) and accessed through the WHMCS data layer, with values handled as data rather than raw SQL.
  • Contained file writes — when SEO Friendly URLs are enabled, the module only ever modifies the WHMCS root .htaccess — and only inside its own fenced block, ### BEGIN/END - Pages Manager SEO. See How Pages Are Served.

Database tables owned

The module creates and owns the following tables (the WHMCS-safe naming the addon migrated to in v7):

TablePurpose
hsc_pm_pages Internal pages — slug, title, type, order, publish status, views, SEO fields.
hsc_pm_sidebars Sidebar widgets — type, title, content, links, page assignment, order.
hsc_pm_pages_lang Per-language translation of the display name in the client area navigation.

On deactivation with the “Delete Module Database” option enabled, all hsc_pm_* tables are dropped. The legacy mod_page_* tables from v6 are auto-migrated and dropped during upgrade.

Support

Pages Manager for WHMCS is developed and supported by HardSoftCode:

Licence key delivery — the key is emailed after purchase and is also available in the client area under Account → My Products → manage product. Paste it into the module settings (Configure) after activation. For everything that changed in this release, see the Changelog v6→v7.
