Settings Reference

Every option on the one-page AJAX settings screen.

• Password Length — 8–64 (default 8).
• Password Characters — which character types the generator may use: Letters (A–Z, a–z), Numbers (0–9) and Symbols. Tick at least one — if none are ticked all three are used.
• Keep activity log — retention days (0 = forever).

Every selected character type is guaranteed at least one character in a generated password, and the password is assembled with a cryptographically secure random source.

Every save writes one audit entry naming each changed value (Password Length 8 > 12), or Settings saved (no changes).

The access control is not on this page: it uses WHMCS’s built-in Access Control list on the Addon Modules page (Configuration › System Settings › Addon Modules), where you tick the admin roles that may use the module next to Change User Password. The module follows WHMCS: if no role is ticked, nobody can use it (the page shows Access Denied) and the client-profile field and manage-users action are not shown either. The same page carries the “delete module data on deactivation” switch.
