Troubleshooting

Fixes for the most common issues, in the order they are reported.

Menu stays English after switching language

  • Translations live per menu row: Visitors and Clients rows are separate. An Arabic label added under Visitors will not show while logged in (Clients menu) — add it on both.
  • With no translation entered, the item follows the WHMCS language file — that is correct behavior, not a bug.
  • Renamed items always show your text (until a translation for that language exists).

A “More” dropdown appeared

Twenty-One and Nexus collect items into a stock “More” menu whenever the navbar wraps. The usual cause is something making the bar too tall: custom CSS padding, oversized top-link boxes, or a narrow window. The module keeps its own boxes within each template's limit — check anything else styling the navbar first.

Sticky bar still sticks on mobile

  • Sticky is disabled below 992px. Phone landscape widths reach ~932px, tablets exceed it — that is intentional.
  • Hard-reload the page (Ctrl+F5) so the old script is not served from cache.

Clicks are not counting

  • Clicks deliver via navigator.sendBeacon — privacy/ad-block extensions can suppress them. Retest with extensions off.
  • Only real menu links count; the grid refreshes on reload (counts are not live-pushed).

Saving shows “Session expired”

Your admin session died (long idle time or changed IP). Log back in, reload the Settings page for a fresh token, then save again. No data is lost — the save simply never ran.

A renamed item reverted to stock text

Renames saved before the customized-label tracking existed are treated as untouched (WHMCS text wins). Open the item and save the label once to re-mark it customized.

Badge shows on the wrong menu / not at all

  • Badges only render for logged-in clients; the field is hidden on visitor menus.
  • On Twenty-One/Nexus the pill needs the module's badge CSS — it ships automatically, no action needed.

Template was renamed and styling broke

Set Client Area Template in Settings to the template family you run (Six / Twenty-One / Nexus), regardless of the folder's actual name.

Deactivated and everything is gone

Only if Delete Module Data was ticked before deactivating — that drops menus.json and both tables by design. Without the tick, everything is kept for reactivation.
