SEO Managerfor WHMCS · Documentation
v1.0.0

Requirements & Install

Three tables, two generated files, one activation click.

System requirements

  • WHMCS 8.x or 9.x.
  • PHP as required by your WHMCS version.
  • Write permission in the WHMCS base directory (for robots.txt / sitemap.xml).
  • Write permission in modules/addons/seo/templates_c/ (compiled templates).
  • A valid license key — entered in the module settings after activation. The key is emailed after purchase and is also available in the client area under Account → My Products → manage product.
License required — after activating the module, click Configure and enter the License key you received by email (or from the client area: Account → My Products → manage product). The module will not run until a valid key is saved.

Install

  1. Upload the seo folder to yourdomain.com/modules/addons/ so the layout is:
    modules/addons/seo/seo.php
    modules/addons/seo/hooks.php
    modules/addons/seo/whmcs.json
    modules/addons/seo/docs/ ← bundled documentation site
    modules/addons/seo/lib/...
    modules/addons/seo/templates/...
    modules/addons/seo/lang/...
  2. In the WHMCS admin go to Configuration > System Settings > Addon Modules.
  3. Find SEO Manager in the list, choose the admin role groups allowed to use it (Access Control) and click Activate. The module creates its three database tables automatically.
  4. Enter your license key — click Configure, paste the License key you received by email (or from the client area: Account → My Products → manage product) and save. The module validates the key automatically and will not run until a valid key is saved.
  5. Open the module via the Addons > SEO Manager menu.

Optional cron

If you enable Regenerate Sitemap via Cron in the module settings, make sure the standard WHMCS automation cron runs daily:

php /path/to/whmcs/crons/cron.php

Uninstall / data

  • Deactivate the module in Configuration > System Settings > Addon Modules — all data (meta records, redirects, settings) is preserved for a future re-activation.
  • Tick Delete Module Database on the module’s Configure screen first if you want the tables dropped automatically on deactivation.
  • Removing the module files from modules/addons/ after deactivation leaves no traces in the database.
Generated files survive deactivation — robots.txt and sitemap.xml live in the WHMCS root. Use the module’s robots editor to delete the file, or remove it manually if you leave the module deactivated.
